This collection includes all of Kleiber's symphonic recordings on DECCA with the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, and London Philharmonic Orchestras. The inclusion of two recordings of each of Beethoven's Symphonies 3 & 6 makes for fascinating comparisons - the more so when performed by orchestras of international standing.
Recordings of additional pieces by Mozart, Schubert and Weber, taken from WDR transcription recordings made in the 1950s, and released by DECCA on LP during the 1960s, are also included.
